Double Bass

The double bass, also known simply as the bass, is the largest and lowest-pitched bowed, (or plucked) in the modern symphony orchestra. Double Bass classes are offered here, with experienced instructor. Graded examinations with the ABRSM are offered for students who wish to strengthen their skills and pursue music into a higher level.

Israq Suyono
M.A (Music)., B.Mus (Composition)., Dip. Mus

Israq Suyono is a guitarist, composer, arranger and a music educator. Having completed his Master in Creative Arts (Music), Bachelor of Music and a Diploma in Music from The National Academy of Arts, Culture  Heritage (ASWARA), Israq has been an active performer, scholar and a music educator. 

Israq plays acoustic guitar, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and ukulele. He was the music director/arranger for the 2014 (Classique Concert) by National Choir, 2015 (Hamlet), and  2016 (Nyiur Gading Puncak Mahligai), both by Bangsawan Production.

Daniel Chim
M.A (Music).,
B.A. (Music Education)

In 2010 after finishing his A’ levels, Daniel travelled to the United Kingdom to begin his Bachelor of Arts at the Leeds College of Music. During those three years, he was introduced to the double bass and had found passion in teaching. 

At the beginning of 2013, Daniel obtained his Masters in Music from University of Queensland where he specialised in pedagogy and research in music education. 

Since his return to Malaysia, Daniel has committed himself as a cello and double bass teacher. Along with teaching, he plays actively with the Selangor Philharmonic Orchestra.
