Ushera
Academy Director
Ushera is an esteemed vocalist, recording artist, and music education specialist. Her distinguished discography includes numerous singles alongside the critically acclaimed album, Semalam di Malaya. Since 2012, she has been a featured performer at prestigious international music festivals, and in 2015, she was formally honored with the Newman Creative Pioneer Award. With profound expertise spanning both classical and contemporary vocal disciplines, Ushera has made substantial and enduring contributions to the landscape of Malaysian music education for more than a decade.

Ganesh Bala
Academy Director
M.A. (Musicology)., B.Mus. (Contemporary)
Ganesh Bala is a multifaceted pianist, musicologist, and author currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Malaya. Bringing over twenty years of expertise in music education, he specializes in contemporary performance, 20th-century classical, and jazz. Active at major Southeast Asian festivals since 2010, he has released three solo albums and produced for numerous artists. His significant contributions to music literature and research include authoring The Malayan Songbook (2022) and presenting on tonal expansion theory at the 2024 Asian Conference on Arts & Humanities in Tokyo, Japan.

Ra'uf Aibil

Ra’uf Bin Aibil is an experienced guitarist and ASWARA graduate specializing in electric guitar, acoustic and bass guitar instruction. He guides students of all backgrounds through music theory and the RSL syllabus with an encouraging, hands-on approach. An active performing musician with the funk fusion band Non-Fission, Ra’uf brings versatile live experience across Funk, Jazz, R&B, and Rock straight into his lessons. With a degree in Guitar and Audio Production he provides students with a well-rounded, practical foundation tailored to their individual musical goals.

Patricia Heow
DipLCM (London College of Music)
Patricia Heow Ie Lynn is an experienced music educator with over 24 years of piano and violin instruction for children and adults. Holding a Diploma in Music (DipLCM) she specializes in preparing students for both practical and theoretical ABRSM examinations. Patricia maintains a 100% exam pass rate, with students consistently earning merit and distinction honors. Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Cantonese, she offers a warm, tailored approach to help every student build strong musical foundations and long-term confidence.

Fareed Aziz
B.Mus. (Trumpet Performance)
Fareed Aziz, a distinguished member of the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra, possesses over two decades of professional experience in both performance and instruction. Recognized as one of Malaysia's most sought-after trumpet players, he frequently performs for the National Broadcasting Networks and other prominent orchestras nationwide. While rigorously trained in classical music, Mr. Aziz demonstrates proficiency in contemporary performance styles. Furthermore, he has received training in traditional Malaysian folk instruments.

John Yap

John Yap is an accomplished classical pianist who made history as UCSI University’s youngest-ever Diploma in Music student at age 12 before completing his Bachelor in Classical Music. John guides students through absolute beginner concepts, music composition, and preparation for ABRSM graded examinations. Backed by an award-winning performance background and formal training in Piano Pedagogy and the Kodály Method, he brings strong technical discipline and an engaging, structured approach to help students develop a solid musical foundation.

Aza Azmeerul Waiz

Aza Azmeerul Waiz is a dynamic drummer and multi-instrumentalist holding a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from ASWARA. An active session drummer who has performed alongside notable acts such as Insomniacks, Heidi Moru, and Leaism, Aza brings extensive live stage performance and groove straight into his teaching. Combined with a professional background in live sound engineering, he provides students of all skill levels with a rhythm-driven, engaging, and well-rounded musical foundation.

Jing Qi Lim
B.Mus (Hons.) Classical, Dip.Music Performance
Jing Qi Lim is a classical pianist and composer who holds a degree in music from UCSI University, where she majored in classical piano and minored in classical composition. Inspired to play piano at age nine, she holds ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano Performance and Grade 5 in Music Theory, complemented by prize-winning performances at both the E-Artium and Euroasia Piano Competitions. Fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese, Jing Qi leverages her strong foundation in performance and music theory to help students build confidence, master technical fundamentals, and discover a lifelong passion for music.

Foong Yien Ting

Foong Yien Ting holds a Bachelor of Classical Music from UCSI University and brings over a decade of performance experience to her teaching. Having taught piano and music theory to students from beginner to advanced levels, she excels at tailoring lesson plans and arranging music to suit each learner’s individual goals. An award-winning performer in both piano and choral music with additional skills in song transcription and audio production, Yien Ting is fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese. She blends technical expertise with a creative, supportive approach to inspire confidence and musical growth in all her students.

Aiman Haiqal Bin Azizi is a dedicated music educator holding a Diploma in Music and a Bachelor of Music (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Drawing on years of instructional experience, Aiman brings an adaptable, student-centered approach to violin tutoring, tailoring structured lessons to fit each learner's unique goals and skill level. Backed by an extensive background in classical performance and score reading, he instills strong technical discipline and musicality in his students. Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, Aiman excels at building strong rapport with students to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Nur Qashrina Marsya Binti Azri is an accomplished guitarist and ASWARA graduate holding both a Diploma in Music and a Bachelor of Audio Production. As a dedicated guitar teacher, she specializes in guiding beginner students through essential music theory, tab and standard notation reading, and foundational chord techniques across popular genres. Known for her calm, supportive, and approachable teaching style, Qashrina creates a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident building their skills. Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, she combines her strong background in performance and audio production to provide a well-rounded, engaging musical experience.

Ahmad Hafizzuddin

Hafizuddin Faiz is a skilled guitarist, music producer, and ASWARA graduate holding both a Diploma in Music (Majoring in Guitar) and a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Production. Active in the music industry as a lead and session guitarist for acts such as Thariq Amran and the band So.Saorsa, Hafizuddin brings dynamic live performance and studio experience into his lessons. Proficient in music theory, piano, and digital audio workstations like Ableton Live and Logic Pro, he guides students through guitar technique, song arrangement, and contemporary music production. His versatile and student-focused approach helps learners build solid technical foundations while exploring their individual creative strengths.

Zharif Zaki

Zharif Zaki is a seasoned professional saxophonist with over a decade of live performance experience and an Honours Degree in Music Performance from MARA University of Technology (UiTM). A member of the prestigious KL Orchestra, Zharif is renowned for his mastery of jazz and versatility across diverse musical styles. Bringing extensive real-world stage experience from orchestra concerts, and high-profile events directly into his teaching, he guides students in refining their tone, technical control, and performance confidence.
